A device profile contains objects such as a Curtis device’s operating system, firmware, parameters, factory menu, and other objects. Only some CIT tasks require a device profile; you can perform basic tasks, including most of the tasks described in the CIT Quick Start Guide for Field Technicians, without one.

Note: To obtain a device profile, contact your Curtis distributor or regional sales office.

Take the following steps to add a device profile to the device profile library.

1. Select Device » Install Device Profile.

2. Navigate to and select the device profile, then click Open. The Device Profile Import dialog displays.

   

   Tip: Device profiles have a .cdev file extension.

3. Click OK.
