Watch a video showing how to view and edit parameters.
The Programmer application allows you to read and change parameters. Parameters are organized by hierarchical menus. There are two ways to view parameters:
-
To view all the parameters contained by a menu, select the menu. The following example shows the Interlock Type menu’s parameters:
-
To view one parameter, expand the menu, then select the parameter:
-
If a parameter is read-only, the Project Value, Min Value, and Max Value columns are empty:
Each parameter contains four columns for values. The Device Value column contains the value on the device. You can change the device value in the following ways:
Enter the new value in the Device Value column.
Click to increment the value by one unit.
Click to decrement the value by one unit.
Click the icons for the other columns:
Icon | Column | Description |
---|---|---|
Project Value | Sets the parameter to the default value that is defined by the project. | |
Min Value | Sets the parameter to its minimum value. | |
Max Value | Sets the parameter to its maximum value. |
Note: If the minimum and maximum values differ from the minimum and maximum values documented in a device’s manual, an engineer may have used CIT to configure minimum and maximum values specifically for the vehicle system.
