If CIT is configured to re-open the last project, and the project cannot be found, or the project file cannot be opened, CIT will present the following message on startup. Clicking 'OK' will dismiss the dialog, and the user will be presented with the default CIT startup screen, showing recent projects, and the 'scan' button.

It may be possible to recover the project by navigating to `%UserProfile%\Documents\Curtis Integrated Toolkit Projects\Recycled`. This directory will contain a snapshot of the project from each time CIT was opened. To recover one of these files, copy it from the recycled directory to a working location and open it with CIT.
